School Association

The Association was set up to promote good relationships between parents and staff, to raise funds for the benefit of the children of the school and to organise social activities for the children and parents.

With funds raised we aim to purchase items that the children might otherwise not have had in school. For instance, in the past we have been able to buy computers, an interactive white board (Smartboard) an incubator, a workbench, puzzles, books for the library, and musical and sports equipment. We have also completed projects such as new playground markings and we are currently landscaping an area beside the playground, which has been designed by a pupil.

Fundraising events have included children’s discos, Christmas and Summer fairs, coffee mornings, adult and children’s quiz and a race night. However, we are always on the lookout for new fundraising ideas.

The committee meets in the evenings at school, approximately once a month. Most parents feel the benefit of greater involvement in school life.
