Today, Year 4 had a visit from Dr Roz Wade of the Museum of Zoology, University of Cambridge, as part of their 'Butterflies Through Time' project.

During the session, the children learned about the different species of Great British butterflies, looking specifically at the Swallowtail, Great Copper and Brimstone varieties.  They were also visited virtually by an artist who taught them how to sketch the butterflies in fine detail.  Every child drew their own butterfly which will be displayed within a collaborative piece of artwork in the entrance hall of the Museum of Zoology.

The children were very excited to be part of this project and reported that it was both fun and fascinating to learn about the different butterflies as well as seeing a real artist at work.
