EYFS Phonic and Reading Workshop – Wednesday 28th September 2022
It was a pleasure to welcome parents and grandparents back in to school for our first Reception and Pre-School workshop of the year.
We started with a Phonics and Reading workshop where Miss King, our Reception Class Teacher, led a short information session detailing how we teach reading and phonics in the early years and sharing practical and fun ideas that can be done at home.
The parents and grandparents then joined their child in a wide range of activities, both in our indoor and outdoor provision, learning together and developing the skills of speaking, listening, reading words and short sentences and performing the different caption actions.
Lots of fun and learning was had by all.
The feedback from parents and pupils was very positive.
