Visiting Artist

17th June 2024

Today, we had a visit from a local artist, Rebecca Cahill Roots, as part of our project with the Musuem of Zoology. Rebecca grew up in the fens and has a real affinity for the landscape. She has previously worked with the Barbican, Vistoria and Albert Museuem and Liberty's of London.
We took part in a whole class art activity using collage, paints and recycled materials. We had to make a model of an animal, bird or insect that we had seen or heard in our school grounds.
Look at the stunning results!
This will be displayed in the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge from mid - July and will be returned to the school later in the year. We are all invited to go and look at the art installation at the museum. More details to follow.
