Year 1 were very excited to share their learning about Australia which was the country they studied during International Week.
They showed us their beautiful and creative art work which included collages of Sydney Opera House and oil pastel pictures of Sydney Harbour Bridge. They shared lots of facts about animals found in Australia and, through their tasting of Australian foods, they announced that Year 1 are not that fond of vegemite!
The children also entertained the audience of parents, grandparents and other classes by singing 'Kookaburra Lives in the Old Gum Tree' and by performing an aboriginal dance.
Well done, Year 1 on such an excellent Class Assembly and for your wonderful costumes!
