Our Vision and Aims

Putting children first      Progress through partnership

Our Vision

The school provides quality education, through a partnership with parents and other stakeholders, whilst putting children at the heart of all we do.

We believe quality education is founded on a strong foundation of basic skills,  which are promoted throughout the school and particularly in the early years.

This strong foundation enables children to benefit from an extensive range of experiences and activities as they progress through school.

We believe in a strong partnership between school and home, encouraging parental involvement in all aspects of the school.

All relationships in school should be founded on respect, courtesy, honesty and fairness.

We expect everyone in the school to work to the best of their ability at all times.

All the systems, structures and policies must be in place to enhance the quality of learning experienced by the children in our care and improve their standards of achievement.

Our Aims

  • To enable each child to develop their full potential in each area of the curriculum.
  • To help enable children to fulfil their potential as an individual person in all aspects of their character.

  • To help prepare children for adult life.

In meeting these core aims we intend to:-
  • foster in children an understanding and appreciation of moral values and to promote tolerance of other races, religions and ways of life;

  • develop an understanding of the world in which we live and to encourage a love of the arts and sciences;

  • help each child develop a lively, inquiring mind giving them an ability to question and argue rationally and to apply themselves to tasks;

  • fully prepare children for the secondary phase of their education, to teach children to be resourceful, resilient and reflective with the necessary tools to become lifelong learners.
