Author Visit

10th November 2015
Author and illustrator, Steve Smallman, came to visit and share some of his stories with pupils.
"Steve drew an octopus who didn't know what to do with the things in his tentacles.  Steve helped us to tell the story and come up with different ideas.  He was very funny!"
Toby (Year 1)
"Steve is a very good storyteller who uses lots of different voices.  It was exciting when he asked us to help design a character (a poorly dragon) and to think about how he was feeling."
Cara (Year 3)
"Steve came and read one of his stories to us.  He then wanted us to help him write a new story which followed on from his book.  We thought about different characters and settings and he drew illustrations.  He told us how we could become authors and that is my plan!"
