Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Fair

5th December 2015
Thank you to the Lionel Walden School Association, parents, staff and pupils for making this annual event a great success once again.  More than £1200 was raised!

Children came along to have cereals, pain au chocolat, toast and juice with Santa who made sure everyone left with a special gift.

Other refreshments were served in the hall where there were many stalls to visit.  There was a variety of activities, in Classes 3 and 4, including games such as 'Beat Mr Harfield on the Wii', Hook-a-Duck and Pin the Carrot Nose on Olaf (carrying on our Christmas Production theme - Frozen).  In Class 5, face-painting was available alongside the nail bar and Christmas cookie decorating.

There were several Christmas art and craft activities on offer, too.  Everyone was able to eat, chat, play games, make things and buy Christmas gifts as well as meeting Santa!

"The younger children's faces were amazing - they were so excited to be having their breakfast with Santa!  I enjoyed the game where you had to try and drop the ten pence coin onto Rudolph's nose - which was in a tank of water.  It was very difficult but I managed it!"  Billie (Year 6)

"My favourite game was Hoopla... I won three times!"  Harry (Year 6)
