Lionel Walden Primary School has been awarded the Bronze School Games Mark for its provision of Sport.
The School Games Mark is a government led award scheme (launched in 2012) to reward schools for their commitment to the participation and development of sporting competition within school and the wider community. Our school has had to meet set criteria. During the academic year 2015-2016, we demonstrated that we provide opportunities for all our pupils to participate in sport, timetable a minimum of two hours of PE per week, offer a range of sports clubs and take part in competitions at both Level 1 and 2, as specified in the criteria.
Miss Bennett, our PE Subject Leader, is now keen for us all to build on this and work towards the Silver/Gold School Games Mark.
