Doddington Carnival

A huge 'Well Done' to the Village Carnival and Sports Committee for all your hard work in organizing another fantastic day and for enabling us as a school to be involved in such a wonderful, community event!

With this year's theme being 'Best of British', our school chose to enter as 'Britain in Bloom'.  All classes, including Pre-School, contributed to the designing, making, gluing and painting of all the different parts.  On Friday, after school, the float was assembled by staff - it looked brilliant!

Our float was judged as the 'Winner' in the Junior Section.

Well done to the Lionel Walden School Association for all the hard work and commitment shown in also entering a float again this year - you looked great with your 'British Pop' theme!

Thank you to all staff and pupils for taking part so enthusiastically - during the preparation stages and on the day itself and for parents, family members and residents of Doddington for lining the streets and showing your appreciation for all the entrants in the Carnival Procession!  Many of our pupils were also involved in other groups' floats and, of course, as the Carnival Prince and Princess!

Well done, Doddington!
