Doddington Carnival

A huge 'Well Done' to the Village Carnival and Sports Committee for all your hard work in organizing another fantastic day and for enabling us as a school to be involved in such a wonderful, community event!

With this year's theme being 'Around the World', our school chose to enter a 'Brazil' float.  All classes, including Pre-School, contributed to the designing, making, gluing and painting of all the different parts.  On Friday, after school, the float was assembled by staff - it looked superb!

Our float was judged as 'Runner Up' in the Junior Section.

Well done to the Lionel Walden School Association  for all the hard work and commitment shown in also entering a float again this year - you looked fantastic with your 'France' float!

Thank you to all staff and pupils for taking part so enthusiastically - during the preparation stages and on the day itself - and for parents, family members and residents of Doddington for lining the streets and showing your appreciation for all entrants in the Carnival Procession!  Many of our pupils were also involved in other groups' floats and, of course, as the Carnival Prince and Princess.
