Day 2

Everyone slept well and enjoyed breakfast.  Our first stop today was Osborne House. We walked down to Swiss Cottage, Queen Victoria's children's playhouse, and then back to the house itself. We were amazed by the spectacular ceilings, ornate furniture and beautiful oil paintings. We visited the gift shop before having a picnic lunch and a play in the park. The weather was warm and sunny - better than expected!

This afternoon, we arrived at Carisbrooke Castle along with the rain!  It did not dampen our spirits and we thought the views from the top were stunning. We met Jill the donkey who demonstrated how the wheel draws water from the well. We also had time to visit the museum and the gift shop - shopping is proving popular!

We have just returned from the theatre where we were part of an audience made up entirely of school parties. We sang and danced and are now back at the hotel ready for a good night's sleep.

The children's behaviour is excellent and they all are having a wonderful time!
