Isle of Wight Day 3
28th June 2017
After breakfast, we donned our waterproof clothing and headed out to Robin Hill Country Park. Despite the rain showers, we had a fabulous day! We all managed to negotiate the maze! We were then lucky enough to see a falconry display - the birds are not keen on flying in wet weather but the rain eased off and they performed for us. The peregrine falcon and the owl both swooped very close over our heads!
After lunch, we had great fun in the adventure play park before walking round the Woodland Gardens. A particular highlight was the treetop trail with its new squirrel run - an overhead tunnel constructed of wire which we all crawled through!
The wobbly bridges over the koi carp lake proved exciting with everyone managing to keep their feet dry! We then braved the 'Pirate Ship' ride before visiting the gift shop.
This evening, we walked along the beach and coastal path before retiring to bed... all children were soon fast asleep.
