New outdoor learning area

News

8th September 2017

Following the necessary removal of the tree at the back of the school, the children were involved in the planning of the development of the surrounding area.

Our Year 1 Class now has an outdoor learning area in which children can extend their learning from the classroom with practical, 'hands on' activities.

All classes and pupils in our School and Pre-School now have a new reading area which consists of a storyteller's chair and sufficient bench seating to accommodate a whole class.  This area is also used at breaks and lunchtimes with older children reading and telling stories to younger children or just having a chat with staff and friends.

Many thanks to the LWSA (Lionel Walden School Association) for funding part of this project.
