Phonics and Writing Workshop for Parents

News

7th November 2017

Many parents and grandparents joined children in school and Pre-School this afternoon to learn more about how their children develop the skills necessary to become writers.

They were welcomed by the Headteacher, Mrs Barnard-Taylor, and then received an informative talk by Mrs Riches, our Reception teacher.

Everyone then joined in with a wide range of activities, within the Early Years Foundation Stage classrooms, to aid development of early skills.  Parents and children were encouraged to try lots of activities together at home and were given prompts and information sheets to take away with them.

"It was really good to see how best to help my child develop."

"It was great to see how my son is in the classroom environment - he was happy to tell me what he does at school."
