Safer Internet Day 2017

News

7th February 2017

Safer Internet Day 2017 was celebrated at Lionel Walden Primary School and globally.

The day provided the opportunity to highlight the positive uses of technology and to explore the role we play in helping to keep our children safe when using the internet.

Within school and our Pre-School, pupils took part in activities on specially selected websites, designed posters and acrostic poems, answered quiz questions, compiled fact files and acted out different scenarios.  These activities highlighted some of the dangers associated with using the internet, advised pupils on how to remain safe and gave reminders of who pupils should report any concerns to.

Thank you to Mrs McBeath, Class 7's teacher and Computing Subject Leader, for promoting the day in school.  Thank you to all those parents who re-iterated these messages at home and discussed the day's activities with their children.
