Safer Internet Day 2018

News

6th February 2018

Safer Internet Day 2018 was celebrated at Lionel Walden Primary School and globally.

The day provided the opportunity to highlight the positive uses of technology and to reiterate the importance of staying vigilant and safe when using the internet.

Within school and Pre-School, pupils took part in activities on specially selected websites, designed posters, read 'Penguin Pig', answered quiz questions and acted out different scenarios.  These activities highlighted some of the dangers associated with using the internet, advised pupils how to remain safe and gave reminders of who they should report any concerns to.

Thank you to Mrs McBeath, Year 4's teacher and our Computing Subject Lead, for promoting the day in school.  Thank you to all parents who reiterated these messages at home.  If you would like any further advice, please come into school and speak to us.
