World Heart Day

29th September 2015
On Tuesday 29th September, the Year 6 pupils went on an exciting trip to Cromwell Community College to take part in World Heart Day activities.
The day started with an interesting tour of the school before we took part in an Art lesson, during which we made a clay heart.  In a Science lesson, we learnt about the function of the heart and how oxygen and carbon dioxide travels around our body in our blood system.  We also had the opportunity to dissect a lamb's heart!  Following lunch, we got changed into our PE kits and were led to the sports hall where we exercised our hearts.
It was a very worthwhile day with a variety of activities which were good fun and informative.
