Today, Year 6 had a visit from Dr Roz Wade of the Museum of Zoology, University of Cambridge, and Louise Beale, a local ceramicist from Ely, as part of their 'The Wild Escape' project.

During the session, the children learned about the different types of animals native to Great Britain. They were also visited by a local ceramicist, Louise Beale, who taught them how to model their animal in clay paying attention to fine detail.  Every child modelled their own animal out of clay which will be displayed within a collaborative piece of artwork in the entrance hall of the Museum of Zoology.

The children were very excited to be part of this project and reported that it was both fun and fascinating to learn about the different animals and their habitats as well as seeing a real artist at work.
