Our Year 5 pupils performed several dances, a short play and a song for the whole school this afternoon and then for parents and family members this evening.

Gordon, Nicky and Colin from the Ouse Washes Molly Dancers have been coming into school on Monday afternoons, throughout this term, to teach the dances and share stories explaining the history of Molly Dancing and its connections with the local area.

"I love it... especially dancing with other people in my class."

"It was fun and was good exercise!"

"It was great learning new dances with my friends who were in my group."

"I enjoyed learning the new dances and hearing the folk stories."

"It was fun... I got to perform the broom dance in front of the whole school and in front of the parents.  I trained for it at home too."
