This morning, we held our Carol Service at St Mary's Church in our village of Doddington.
Thank you to the Open the Book team for opening the Carol Service and to the many parents. grandparents and other family members who joined in the singing of carols. Well done to Amelia McBeath who played a solo of Frosty the Snowman on the piano. It was amazing.
Representatives from each year group placed a wish, written on a star, on the Community Christmas Tree. Year 3 pupils returned the Posada characters who had been on a journey around each class in the school spreading the Christmas story.
Thank you to Mrs Harrison, Miss Thomas, Mrs Hewitt and Mrs Naughton for teaching the choir and to all the staff and pupils for making the Service such a special way to end the term.
The collection of £139.92 will be donated to Shelter, a charity for homeless children and adults.
