On the week beginning the 18th May 2026, we held our annual healthy week across school. The week was based around encouraging children to lead healthy and active lifestyles, with a range of activites designed to increase their love of sport. We were extremely fortunate to work alongside some fantastic organisations, who gave up their time to come into school and share their passion for their sport with the children. On Tuesday, we had a special visit from Dan The Skipping Man, who came into school to teach the children about the wonders of skipping as well as showing them some amazing tricks and skills that they can practise away from school. The day culminated with a whole-school performance, where some of the children were given the opportunity to show some of the skipping skills that they had learnt. Each year group also took part in a mini-olympics, where they participated in a number of different activities to score points for their team. As part of the commitment to leading an active lifestyle, every child also completed one mile a day across the week. We would like to thank Dan The Skipping Man, Doddington Football Club, March Hockey Club, FE Fitness, March Town Cricket Club and 1st Doddington Scouts for their exceptional support in making healthy week a tremendous success!
