On Wednesday 18th March, Year 1 went on a trip to the Key Stage One Literacy Festival held in March. The children started with a session on creating illustrations for books by popular children's author, Beach. They than walked to March Library, where they were given an opportunity to explore the Library and the vast array of books available. The morning finished with a session on designing their own book character, using characteristics to refine their designs. The children had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the experience.
