Remembrance Service

Our whole school community gathered on the playground to mark Remembrance Day with a respectful and reflective service. Pupils proudly wore their Scout, Beaver, Cub, Guide, Brownie, Rainbows and Squirrels uniforms, demonstrating the strong links we hold with local groups. We were delighted to welcome parents, grandparents and members of the wider community, including representatives from our local Scout group who joined the parade and carried their flags.

Each class contributed to the service by sharing a short poem or reading, performing a song, and presenting their Remembrance artwork. The two-minute silence at 11 o’clock was led by Corporal James Langley, parent and member of the RAF, supported by local Scout Leaders. We were grateful to Canon Mark Collinson for closing the service with a thoughtful prayer.

It was a moving occasion, bringing together pupils, staff, families, and our community as we paused to remember and reflect.
